{"id":5153,"date":"2015-12-11T11:39:55","date_gmt":"2015-12-11T18:39:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.parkrag.com\/?p=5153"},"modified":"2015-12-11T11:39:55","modified_gmt":"2015-12-11T18:39:55","slug":"borrow-a-gopro-from-the-library","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/v2.parkrag.com\/index.php\/2015\/12\/11\/borrow-a-gopro-from-the-library\/","title":{"rendered":"Borrow a GoPro from the Library?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Sacramento Bee <a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacbee.com\/news\/local\/education\/article8920145.html\">has an interesting story<\/a> on how Sacramento Public libraries are are starting to loan\u00a0more than just books.\u00a0They call their initiative, &#8220;The Library of Things&#8221; project.\u00a0Examples of categories of items currently available include sewing machines, video games, musical instruments, board games, crafting, and technology items. \u00a0Their goal really seems to be providing,\u00a0not only books, but items that may not make sense\u00a0to own because they are used so infrequently.<\/p>\n<p>In today&#8217;s world where libraries are searching for a reason to exist, offering other items for use makes a lot of sense. Perhaps your kid is getting married and you wish you had a really great camera for that one day or maybe you&#8217;d like to try out the board game Risk, before buying it.
