{"id":1538,"date":"2014-10-07T15:06:59","date_gmt":"2014-10-07T21:06:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.parkrag.com\/?p=1538"},"modified":"2014-10-07T15:06:59","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T21:06:59","slug":"interlocal-agreement-summit-county-park-city-shows-forethought","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/v2.parkrag.com\/index.php\/2014\/10\/07\/interlocal-agreement-summit-county-park-city-shows-forethought\/","title":{"rendered":"Interlocal agreement between Summit County and Park City shows forethought"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>During Wednesday&#8217;s Summit County Council meeting, the Council will likely approve an <a href=\"http:\/\/summitcounty.org\/DocumentCenter\/View\/1001\">agreement<\/a> between Summit County and\u00a0Park City to work together to help manage Vail. \u00a0County Manager Bob Jasper mentioned that items like a lift between PCMR\u00a0and Canyons would be covered under this, as well as sales tax issues. \u00a0According to the agreement, it also covers\u00a0land use decisions, open space, transportation, traffic\u00a0mitigation, transit, and economic development.<\/p>\n<p>It will be interesting to watch and see when big\u00a0issues come up, that may impact parties\u00a0differently, how well this works. But for now, it at least shows that our local governments\u00a0understand\u00a0the significance of Vail being in town.
