{"id":1533,"date":"2014-10-07T13:58:52","date_gmt":"2014-10-07T19:58:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.parkrag.com\/?p=1533"},"modified":"2014-10-07T13:58:52","modified_gmt":"2014-10-07T19:58:52","slug":"comments-can-now-made-stories","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/v2.parkrag.com\/index.php\/2014\/10\/07\/comments-can-now-made-stories\/","title":{"rendered":"Comments can now be made on stories"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Park Rag is about to do the stupidest thing in its history, and we&#8217;ve done plenty\u00a0of dumb things. \u00a0We&#8217;ve had requests from a few people across the community to be able to comment on stories. \u00a0We&#8217;ve resisted this for a long time because, well, comments\u00a0rarely add value. \u00a0At best no one comments and at worst it reminds us of middle school &#8212; and we hated middle school.<\/p>\n<p>However, we do believe there are those in the community that have valuable input to share (<a title=\"Guest Editorial: Should we be thinking differently about how we plan for the future?\" href=\"http:\/\/www.parkrag.com\/guest-editorial-thinking-differently-plan-future\/\">like our first guest editorial this week<\/a>). \u00a0So, there is the potential for our community to become stronger through a civil discourse FOCUSING ON ISSUES. \u00a0We aren&#8217;t opposed to conflict. \u00a0On the contrary, we think there have\u00a0been too many rainbows and unicorns floating around Park City for years, and in some respects Nero fiddles while Park City burns. \u00a0What we don&#8217;t want is the typical name calling, yelling, and rudeness found many places.<\/p>\n<p>If we can all treat this like we are 40\u00a0years old, speaking to our mother face-to-face, and explaining logically why she really needs to take her diabetes medication, that will serve us all well. \u00a0If not, life is too short. \u00a0We frankly don&#8217;t want the reputation that ensues from a bunch of jackasses ruining this for everyone.<\/p>\n<p>So, if you click on\u00a0a story, at the bottom of the page, you will see where you comment.
